A small but meaningful moment for us; although we did not win, we are delighted to have been shortlisted for the NLA Awards. The project submitted for this year is a reminder that focusing on emotions plays an essential role in design. Our choices in imagery were guided by a desire to promote calmness and wellbeing. Stakeholder engagement was integral to shaping the room layouts, selecting motifs, and choosing colours. Hospital visits can be stressful, so avoiding overwhelming patients with excessive information was central to our approach.
